Danielle had 8 inches of her small intestine and 4 inches of her colon removed after being diagnosed with Crohn's disease She began her journey investigating alternative options and started implementing them into her day to day life. It has been eight years and three children later, and Danielle has been successful at managing her Crohn’s disease without conventional medical treatments.  

Danielle was an RN who was married and working through tedious hours. During this, she was also going to Grad school full-time. Through this, she started to have abdominal pains, they found an abscess on her intestine. Which later caused her to surgery that removed 8 inches of her small intestine and 4 inches of her colon removed. After this surgery, she had asked her Gastrointestinal doctor for any recommended lifestyle and diet changes to assist in managing her Crohn’s disease. With this, he replied with a very surprising response that Danielle felt dumbfounded by. Her doctor said, “there are no real diet changes.” Danielle and her husband thought for sure what she ate, and her stress levels played a role. The doctor didn’t think it was important and recommended intense medication and the risk of cancer as a side effect. After this, she began her journey investigating alternative options and started implementing them into our day to day lives. Eight years later, Danielle has had three children and has been successful at managing her Crohn’s disease without conventional medical treatments. No high-risk medications, and no further surgeries. She is highly passionate about helping others with autoimmune disease learn about how to support the body and allow it to heal itself.

These days, my speaking schedule takes me all over the world. This year alone I’ll be making more than 40 appearances. When people ask me, “How in the world do you do it?” All I can do is smile and say, BrainTap.
